December 14^th 2007: JOHN NORUM NEXT ALBUM updatings: message from Joey Tempest!

Hello there, Joey here! from a sunny cold December London. Thanks for visiting our new Myspace site. Hope you can hang out here often.
Just got of the phone with John (Norum). We don't speak that often but when we manage to get a hold of each other we can stay on the phone for hours. Just like we used to do back when we started Force together. John is in the middle of recording his solo album. Rehearsals are going well and he will start the actual recording any day now. He says this album will have a straight forward feel with not so many overdubs. I'm looking forward to hearing it.
We also had a chat about the New Years gig in Romania which could be a lot of fun. We also talked about the semi-acoustic show on 26th of Jan. at Nalen. We hope we can throw in a few surprises. Perhaps play a "cover".
It's amazing to think that this show can be viewed from anywhere in the world over the internet. It will be a fun evening for sure. We've started work songs for the new Europe CD. The rest of the guys have been sending me ideas to work on here in London. There are some really cool songs coming out. We'll go into the studio after touring the summer next year.
As I told you " One of these days this band is going to go places".

June 11^th 2007: JOHN NORUM NEXT ALBUM updatings!

On the MASCOT Record website, you can read that the new album will be released next 28^th of September 2007. Most parts of the album were already record late 2006.

June 6^th 2007: JOHN NORUM NEXT ALBUM updatings!

The last number of BURNN!, a Japanese music magazine, contains another interview with John NORUM and Joey Tempest. Talking about his next solo album, John stated that it will be released in September. He's recording a sort of "bluesy/rock" album, with heavy songs, old school like '70s blues rock ones, and some instrumentals.

In the same magazine, there are few lines about Michael Amott, Arch Enemy's guitarist, who gave to John a ESP Ninja Flying V signature model during the Japanese leg of the "Secret Society" tour.

He was told that John played his guitar during the following gigs, and stated:

"I've heard that John Norum used my NINJA V guitar for some songs when he toured in Japan! I'm happy for that he really plays my signature model from ESP! He's been one of my favourite guitarist more than 20years! So it's a f**kin' cool news for me!".

Great, isn't it?

May 12^th 2007: JOHN NORUM NEXT ALBUM
During an interview for a Japanese guitar magazine, Mr Norum talked about his next album. The musician who are working with him are:
Vocals：Leif Sundin
Bass：Thomas Johnson
Drums：Anders Flash
And as guest musician:

Keyboards：Mic Michaeli.
The album will be released in the fall.
